How is your staff trained?
Our nursery staff are background checked, trained in CPR and have all attended Safe Sanctuaries training through the New Mexico Conference of the UM church. They love children and consider it a privilege to care for your child.
What should I bring for my child?
We recommend bringing a diaper bag, bottle or sippy cup that is labeled with your child’s name on it. Please feel free to bring any comfort items your child might have, such as a blanket. You might also want to bring a change of clothes for your child just in case.
Will you provide a snack during the worship service?
Yes. Each week we have a small snack that includes “Goldfish” crackers or cheerios, water or apple juice. Please let us know if your child has any allergies.
How will you contact me if my child needs me?
If your child becomes inconsolable or unwell, we will call your cell phone (please have it on vibrate).
What time is child-care available?
Childcare is available every Sunday morning starting at 8:20 until noon. It is also provided for several other church-wide events.

Frequently Asked Questions
What happens in Sunday school?
Our Sunday school is set up to provide a fun learning experience for your child. We teach a “Rotation Sunday school” model where your child will learn the same lesson for several weeks in a row, but taught with a different style each week to help facilitate the learning process.
Will my child be in the same room each week?
No. Each week your child will “rotate” to a different room. We have three rooms - Adventure Island, Ark Theatre and the Rainbow Art Room. Each room provides a different learning experience for the Bible lesson.
What is the philosophy behind the rotation model?
The model's philosophy recognizes that kids not only love repetition, but they need it to develop a lasting memory and understanding of content. It is calculated to take advantage of our student's God-given thirst for creative learning. Each class has a teacher who teaches the class and a shepherd whose job is to love the children and assist the teacher.
How can I help?
Parents play an important role in learning. There are many opportunities to teach, shepherd, and work with children on Sunday mornings as well as during the week. Call the church office for more information. 366-4455
